“People who are injured as a result of the negligence of another individual, company or product have the deck stacked against them from the start. Large insurance companies have a way of taking the human element out of every case, reducing it to nothing more than a number. I derive a great deal of satisfaction out of helping others and fighting for the justice they deserve.”
Attorney Daniel J. Brazil has more than 15 years of experience advocating for the rights of individuals. In his early practice, he had the opportunity to hone his courtroom and trial experience through a civil litigation practice that included everything from personal injury cases to divorce and related family law issues, as well as federal court motions involving police brutality claims. Dan now focuses on representing victims with personal injury claims and workers’ compensation claims, as well as those involved in civil rights disputes. He has also been appointed by the American Arbitration Association as a no-fault arbitrator, where he hears and makes decisions on no-fault claims.
As a litigator, Dan approaches each case from the mindset of “what would a jury do in this case?” He considers all angles, and prepares every claim as though it will end up in court. He knows that the cases with more value are those you are prepared to try, especially when the opposing corporation, insurance firm or other party knows you will not hesitate to take things to trial to get what is best for the client.
Over the years, Dan has learned that what matters most is ensuring that his clients understand the situations they are in. He helps them see how the choices they make will affect their families and their futures. Moreover, he brings compassion to his law practice; he knows how important the outcome of a case is to each client. In every claim he handles, Dan takes all steps possible to protect his clients and advocate for their best interests.
The firm places a high priority on providing quality legal services to members of the Hispanic community. This priority grew out of the time Dan spent in Costa Rica, where he spent 6 months studying Spanish and working for the Costa Rica Trade and Development Board. He now offers a variety of legal services to Spanish-speaking individuals located throughout the Twin Cities and rural Minnesota. Se habla español.
When he isn’t working, you can find Dan on his bike or embarking on his next rock climbing adventure. He lives in Minneapolis with his wife and son.
