Justina

The holiday season is a time to reflect on the people we care most about and to help otherswhenever and wherever possible. This year, in recognition of our client's support of our law firm, we have made a loan to a small business owners using www.kiva.org. The loan will be repaid and we will continue to reloan the money to other small business entrepreneurs around the world in the spirit of charitable giving.

This year, in recognition of your support of my law firm, I have made a small business loan using www.kiva.org to benefit a young business entrepreneur named Justina who lives in Peru. Please take a few minutes to read more about Justina, her small business dreams, and the story of her family.

justina Justina is a member of the Wiracocha Village Bank. Wiracocha means "Sun God" in Quechua. She is 50 years old and married with two children. She and her husband buy and sell products from the jungle like peanuts, sesame seeds, annatto and palillo (a condiment). Justina has a small store in Ayacucho and another in a rented space in the city of Hatun Rumi. Her husband travels to the jungle to buy these products. After cleaning and storing her products, Justina sends them to the city of Lima, and she also sells the products in the city of Ayacucho.

Justina needs a loan of 2000 soles to buy peanuts and sesame seeds. Justina dreams of opening a processing plant to add value to the products she sells and dreams that her children will finish their studies and grow up to be professionals.
